Mikel writes emotional letter to Chelsea fans as he joins Tianjin TEDA

Nigeria’s Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel has confirmed his move to China after 11 years with Chelsea football club of England.

Mikel’s confirmation comes after it was gathered that the 29-year-old has completed a transfer to the Chinese Super League, after signing for Tianjin Teda, following protracted negotiations that ended with the Nigerian putting pen to paper on a reported 3-year deal worth an estimated £140,000 per week (N54million).

Mikel who became the latest Premier League player to move to China, confirmed the move by publishing a lengthy emotional letter to fans, management and his teammates at Chelsea on his Twitter account today, Friday, January 6.
